There is something universally appealing about eating outdoors, especially on a bright summer's day or warm summer evening. Maybe it harks back to man's early ancestors, who, having discovered fire used to cook outdoors before someone invented the first chimney or hole in the roof.
Everybody loves a barbecue apart from maybe the chap who has to set up the charcoal, light it, and constantly monitor until it gets to the right temperature and appearance for cooking to begin. The appearance of gas BBQ has relieved us of this onerous task and made cooking outdoors just as easy as cooking in your kitchen. You simply turn o the gas, light the biurners, and in just a few minutes you are ready to go.
Sure there is the initial outlay for a gas barbecue to consider as this is likely to be considerably more than the traditional sort, but it should last for many years. There is then only gas to buy instead of charcoal and one standard cylinder of gas will last up to 8 hours at maximum setting, making it much cheaper than charcoal. (more...)
